Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Desalination

Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) uses mirrors or lenses to concentrate sunlight onto a small area to generate heat, which is then used to drive thermal desalination processes like Multi-Effect Distillation (MED) or Vapor Compression (VC). CSP can also generate electricity for RO systems.

Applications: Large-scale desalination plants in desert regions or areas with high solar intensity, industrial applications, and urban water supply.

Advantages: Provides a consistent and renewable energy source for large-scale desalination, and can be integrated with thermal desalination methods to improve energy efficiency.
