Electrocoagulation (EC)

Electrocoagulation uses electrical currents to dissolve metal electrodes (typically iron or aluminum) into the water, which then act as coagulants to remove suspended solids, heavy metals, and other pollutants.

Effective in removing emulsified oils, suspended solids, and certain heavy metals.
