Ozonation

Uses ozone (O₃), a powerful oxidant, to disinfect water by breaking down the cell walls of microorganisms and neutralizing organic compounds.

Ozone decomposes quickly, leaving no harmful residuals in the water, but does not provide residual disinfection like chlorine.
