Phosphate-based Inhibitors

Orthophosphates: Used primarily to control corrosion by forming a protective layer on the surfaces of pipes and equipment, reducing the rate of corrosion.

Polyphosphates: Effective at controlling both scale formation and corrosion. They sequester calcium and magnesium ions to prevent scale and create a thin protective film to reduce corrosion.

Zinc Orthophosphate: Combines zinc and orthophosphate for dual protection against corrosion and scale, especially in galvanized steel and copper piping.
