Ultrasonic Oxidation (Sonolysis)

• Ultrasonic waves are used to generate localized high temperatures and pressures in water, leading to the formation of hydroxyl radicals. This method is used to degrade organic compounds and improve the efficiency of other AOPs.

• Advantages: Can be combined with other AOPs to enhance treatment efficiency. Effective for degrading complex organic pollutants.
